I love everything there is to love about food. I love eating it, cooking it, studying it, everything. Sure, nowadays who doesn’t “love” food? With all the food television shows and a wave of charismatic celebrity chefs around, seems like everybody is a foodie, a blogger, a critic. I’d like to think of myself as none of the above, because when it’s all said and done, I’m just a simple cook.
When I was 7 years old (inspired by a Japanese manga) I made instant ramen and separated the broth into a cup to pretend I was eating Zaru soba (cold soba noodle with dipping sauce.)
Nowadays my world pretty much evolves around food. My family owns a little Chinese restaurant, and after my first career as a television producer (and after my Pops passed away,) I moved back home to help run this little joint.
It’s not the Lucky Peach yet, but I am certainly aiming that direction…
